Permanent Part Time

(16 hours per fortnight)

We are seeking a Food Services Assistant to work within the Kitchen at Wimmera Health Care Group. This permanent part time position includes working as per a roster and additional shifts in food services are generally available. This role is responsible of completing general food services duties that assists in providing a complete meal and catering service to all patients and clients of WHCG.

Duties will include:  

• Washing dishes and general cleaning
• Assisting with the packing and unpacking of general stock and deliveries
• Delivery of food to wards and residential facilities  

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

• Experience in a similar role.
• Ability to manage and organise own time in order to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment (Knowledge of HACCP).
• Demonstrated experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment.
• A demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations
• An appreciation of the importance of nutrition to patient and residential care
• A willingness and ability to work positively within a team environment
