(16 hours per fortnight)
We are seeking a Food Services Assistant to work within the Kitchen at Wimmera Health Care Group. This permanent part time position includes working as per a roster and additional shifts in food services are generally available. This role is responsible of completing general food services duties that assists in providing a complete meal and catering service to all patients and clients of WHCG.
Duties will include:
- Washing dishes and general cleaning
- Assisting with the packing and unpacking of general stock and deliveries
- Delivery of food to wards and residential facilities
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Ability to manage and organise own time in order to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment (Knowledge of HACCP).
- Demonstrated experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment.
- A demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations
- An appreciation of the importance of nutrition to patient and residential care
- A willingness and ability to work positively within a team environment
