A new and exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Chief Medical Officer.
Wimmera Health Care Group is the sub regional health service for the Wimmera region. The main campus is situated in the town of Horsham, which is the largest town in an area that is steeped in agriculture and natural beauty. Horsham is only 3 and a half hours from Melbourne, 4 hours from Adelaide 2 hours from Ballarat and 40 minutes to the magnificent Grampians and less to the climbing mecca Mt Arapiles. The Wimmera is a great place to live and work, with ample recreational opportunities including one of the best golf courses in country Australia.
Following the retirement of a long-standing member of the leadership team, we are looking for an experienced medical leader to join the team and assist us to deliver high quality care as close to home as possible for our community.
This position would suit an experienced medical leader who works effectively with clinicians, the leadership team and the board to drive the organisation’s strategic and quality agendas and demonstrate the provision of high-quality safe care for our community and ultimately improve their health and wellbeing. The Chief Medical Officer role would best suit a person who is willing to test the boundaries, work in partnership with regional health services, clinicians and most importantly community members to expand and develop models of care that are evidenced based, innovative and improve health outcomes and are cost effective.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to include; relocation assistance, education support and a vehicle.
We are willing to support the right person to gain the necessary qualifications in Medical Leadership and Management and provide mentoring and support throughout their journey.
