Position Summary

Consultant Anaesthetist

Permanent Full /Part Time
(up to 76 hours per fortnight)

 

We are seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our dedicated team at Grampians Health - Horsham & Dimboola Campuses. This permanent full or part time position is available for immediate start and includes working Monday to Friday with participation in an on-call roster. Please indicate in your application how many hours you're interested in.

 

Services provided at Horsham Campus includes Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, O&G and Paediatrics. The successful applicant will contribute to ICU and trauma care as well as teaching of medical students and junior doctors. This role involves providing specialist anaesthetics services of the highest possible standard to ensure optimum, safe medical care outcomes working in a highly collaborative manner with medical, nursing and other health care team members. This role offers an opportunity to participate in combined departmental meetings and mortality & morbidity meetings as well as reciprocal working arrangements with Ballarat Campus. 

 

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

  • Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)
  • MBBS or equivalent degree
  • Full general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience in clinical anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties, including paediatrics and obstetrics

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in anaesthetic service provision in a regional environment
